Trudging upon the Almighty's good graces
Out of hate's hymn, a lonely laborious chant
I met an angel on my way to heaven
Delightful, sweet, also a lovelorn sheik
A ward of hundred spiels in realms of pink
One impatient heart so deaf to reason
Whose wayward eyes for favor begs
To speed the speech of my parting guest
Her presence pulls the forelock of heaven's charms
No haunting past unlike my own soft impeachment
How I wish the vision to come true
A soul's debut not waiting for a chinaman's chance
In a reunion of two spirits too eager to make
The wish for bones, fleshes, nerves and breath
Wanting yet to plunge bravely back to earth
Slowly the light of the angel glimmers
Manifest a cast of countenance I marveled
Barefaced, she held out and paralyzed my guilt
As this fool's dissident heart unfurls love's poetry
I'll trade for anything but not my loyal friend.
