ELEGY TO THE GREAT ANOPHELES (The enemy I killed with my bare hands)

Roused by your intruding whisper
This wan giant falling fast asleep
A hymn, as if to beg your rude naughtiness
To make that deadly sting on my skin
I dread the thought of your cunning
Bloodsucking freak of luscious delirium
As you caused my wakeful vigil
Thankful instead of the vexation
And my fast reflex
Gave you a hurricane whack
Before you commit one nocturnal crime
My condolence for your untimely demise.
